A Message to the Congregation and the Public
FPC and PDS Buildings Closed
In response to public health concerns related to the spread of the Coronavirus, Montgomery County will not allow meetings of 10 or more people in public facilities. While churches are not required to comply with this rule, it is prudent for us to do so. The First Presbyterian Church of Conroe is committed to protecting your health and safety. Therefore, the church’s facilities will remain closed through April 30 (See update in Announcement: 1 Day More = 1 Day Less). The only activity at the church will be essential functions that must take place on site, and the ongoing process of sanitizing all surfaces throughout our facilities.
The First Presbyterian Church of Conroe will continue to broadcast our Sunday morning worship services on Facebook Live. As usual, these services will be held on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 11:00 in our Sanctuary. At this time, we will not open the Sanctuary for public attendance.
Over the next several days we will begin to implement contingency plans that allow us to continue with the full life of the church; including Sunday school classes and small group Bible studies. Some of these activities will be broadcast using Facebook Live, others will use a Zoom Room to facilitate face-to-face conversation. If you are not already familiar with Zoom, please visit www.zoom.us or watch online videos to familiarize yourself with this service. While the church pays for this service, it is free to you as a participant.
Our heart and our prayers are with those who are most impacted by this public health crisis; including patients and their families, health care providers, first responders, and all whose livelihood is at risk.
